BIG RIG MOBILE: (25) $5.00 US Start Date: August 1, 2009

Issued for contacting member stations, that are mobile, in a “BIG RIG” per DOT weight class of 26,001pounds or more and intended for Commercial Interstate transit, within the lower 48 States.

If a member is physically driving a Commercial Vehicle, that is considered a single unit vehicle – with a minimum of 10 tires on the pavement, and in Commercial transit across State lines, this vehicle may also be accepted for credit.

In the event that there may be a member, who is also in the U.S. Armed Forces, but also driving a vehicle that meets the requirements of a Military Heavy Transport Vehicle, this too would be acceptable.

In that this award has in the past been intended for the “lower 48”, it is also possible to get a certificatefor the 49th and 50th State – after getting the required “Lower” 48 State certificate. Work them – save them – for the other 48 to be completed.

Thus, this means that one might be able to get 3 Mobile WAS certificates while working the 50 individual States.
